FAQs

How long have you been doing what you do and how did you get to be a Health and Life Coach?

I have been working for a little over 20 years with children and adolescents as a pediatric nurse practitioner and pediatric RN.  Through that experience I have met and cared for so many amazing teens and young adults struggling to put their health first, struggling with unhealthy habits and struggling with significant confidence issues that were affecting their daily lives.   As this became more and more apparent in my daily practice, I began searching for options to be able to provide for these individuals and really noticed a lack of resources out there to support these teens and young adults in their time of need.    This inspired me to start my journey to become a certified health and life coach.  Becoming a health and life coach has allowed me to be able to provide a valuable resource for teens and young adults which includes individualized coaching sessions and one on one support for amazing transformations.

What kinds of clients do you work with?

I work with adolescents and young adults who are looking to improve their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

How are you different from other Health Coaches?

My coaching is about transforming beliefs and mindsets so that my clients can be present with themselves and their lives in a whole new way.  I follow that work with step-by-step guidelines around healthy ways to approach life.

Something else that makes me different is that I ONLY work with teenagers and young adults.  What that means is I am very focused on anything and everything that works on adolescents and young adults.  Because my focus is very narrow, I have a vast amount of experience overcoming challenges. What you get with me is a deep level of expertise which is why my clients get great results and we have a lot of fun along the way.

What exactly is your system and what does it include?

The Empowering Adolescents and Young Adults through Health system is a 90-day transformational coaching process which is developed uniquely with each adolescent.  Coaching sessions which occur weekly may include developing positive mindset skills, healthy nutrition, movement and sleep habits as well as managing screen time.  One on one coaching provides the guidance and support necessary to implement true and lasting transformation.

Who does this program NOT work for?

I only have openings for 2 new clients per month in my schedule so please know I’m very selective about who I work with, choosing to (gently) turn away people who are not suited for my program and won’t get the results they would have invested in.  (It wouldn’t be fair to them.)  We can determine this through our initial conversation/consultation.

Do people ever renew and continue working with you?

Yes.  Some of my clients want to continue the work- they love the ongoing support and stretch.  If that’s something you’d like, I will share with you how you can do that as we get closer to the completion of your first Empowering Adolescents and Young Adults through Health experience.
